Year 2 – Day 198, Saturday, November 12, 2022. The temperature really dropped.
Our first visit to Lowes I bought some beautiful mums for our front porch. They were 90 percent off and paid $4.00 for five pots. Glad they were so inexpensive because with this coldness they will be gone soon.
Steve is marching on with the painting
and I am working on another long trip for Spring, 2024.
We met our son and daughter-in-law for a Mexican Thanksgiving dinner.
It was really so nice to see them. The girls are such loving young women. We went back to our house for pumpkin pie. The real story is we were going to have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at our house yesterday. Then Steve says why don’t we just have dessert at our house. We are so lazy!!!! So, Justin’s family said sure sounds good to them. The pumpkin pies were interesting. I was on the phone while mixing up the spices and i thought i might have added the ginger twice. Sure, enough one pie was a little stronger. Good thing I didn’t make the traditional dinner. Hmm imagine what I could have done to that. While sitting around eating dessert everyone just kept making funny faces.
Our yard cat missed us. He makes his rounds every night and looking in our patio door window is one of his security check points.
