Year 2 – Day 118, Wednesday, August 24, 2022. The Washing Machine has been wanting me to run the self-clean cycle. I kept ignoring it until today. Today, I said OKAY let’s do it. Yes, I talk to the washing machine. It is lonely here. I started the clean cycle and added some liquid laundry soap. A few minutes later I went back and wow the washing machine was full of soap. Then I thought hmmm maybe I should read about if you’re supposed to add soap when you run the self-clean. Well, of course you are not supposed to add laundry soap. Guess I should learn to read directions first.
Steve bought a new Hammer today and walking out of Lowe’s he reminded me of Thor.
The excavation for the garage footings started today. The detached garage will be 24×28 and have stairs to go upstairs to a storage area. It will be perfect for someone to finish off in the future as an efficiency apartment. An exterior door could be put into the back and could walk right upstairs. There is a perfect spot for a driveway and easy hookup to water and septic.
The trees on the road will probably have to go at some point. They are too big and into the overhead electrical wires. Although they are beautiful to look at and provide much needed shade in this hot sun.
I was asked to let everyone know about those wool dryer balls and how we like them. They are fantastic. I would highly recommend getting them. Our laundry dries quicker, there is no static, and everything is really a lot softer.
