Year 2 – Day 112, Thursday, August 18, 2022. The last 100-foot trench is dug and partially covered with stone.
The yard reminds me of Tremors. They are traveling through the ground and coming up to eat us. Scary yard. We no longer have any grass. When it rains it will be mud. I only saw frogs though.
Steve lost a piece off the excavator today. The bucket fell off and he used the metal detector to try and find the piece to put the bucket back on. He had given up and was using the metal piece before the bucket to smooth out the dirt. I went outside and said how about here. I was his lucky charm – he found it and was able to fix it.
