Year 2 – Day 100, Saturday, August 6, 2022. The last of the large dumpsters is loaded. It will be picked up on Monday and a smaller 20 yard will be dropped off. All the cement and rocks will be loaded into the smaller one. The stairwell is almost completely painted.
One of our neighbors came by with some fresh tomatoes. I told her wow that is so nice. I love tomato sandwiches with Mayonnaise. She really thought that was strange. Here they eat tomatoes on biscuits with butter. I will stick with my sandwiches. Thank you.
We headed to Lowes in the late afternoon to purchase some wood needed for the top of the stairs.
We get to the cash register to pay, and the mother ship of all clouds is moving in. Of course, we loaded in the rain and drove home in the rain trying to keep the wood dry. You really don’t want oak to get wet if you are staining it.
