Year 2 – Day 92, Friday, July 29, 2022. External stitches are out and no lifting still with my right arm. It was a down day for us. Steve took the day off and we just hung out. Actually, we researched more vacations. Trying to do a cross country on Amtrak next June. Wanted to do Amtrak to Las Vegas and back. But who knew Amtrak does not go into Las Vegas. So, no definite plans were made. Just kept kicking it around all day. My arm did not like the sutures being removed and looks pretty angry. The adhesive allergic reaction is not good either. So, I am posting this picture so you will see that having Basil Cell skin cancer removal is not fun. Stay OUT of the sun and use sunscreen. I went to the first Dr in NJ when it was just a little tiny rough spot on my shoulder. It was the size of a dime. Three different procedures were done before he finally did Mohs. He said no problem I got it. So, it was either very persistent or the Mohs surgery was not done properly. This new KY doctor removed the old scar which was about 3/8 x 1 inch and extra cancer on both sides through Mohs surgery. And here we are today. It is healing nicely though. Dr says scar will be minimal.
