Day 251 – “Living the Dream”. Thursday, 1/6/2022. Foundation Building Materials called at 7:15am. They were on the way with our sheetrock. Yeah, they are getting in and out before the snow. It is a forty-five-minute drive from their store. We caught another skunk. He/she is so cute. She ate the whole can of tuna before she was released. That hole is filled in and boarded up again.
Justin came by and relocated her by the same stream as the last one. She looked pretty happy going down to the stream.
I am thinking that when we boarded up the hole after catching the last one that she was inside. So, she dug around the board to get out. In the afternoon I did some research on skunks and they eat mice and rats. So that explains why we no longer see any. We may have made a mistake relocating them. I would rather live with skunks than mice and rats. The boom truck arrived early in the day.
The drywall delivery guys were so funny. One just talked the whole time they were here and the other barely said a word. What a great team they made. Reminded me of Steve and me. Most of the time I talk constantly, and Steve is quiet. Yes. I am a “motor mouth”. I would highly recommend FBM in London. All employees from the salesmen to the delivery drivers provided wonderful service. They were professional. yet very personable. This company mainly does commercial jobsites. They are really behind in deliveries as covid has hit their staff hard. Only one truck operating and most of the sales team out also. We are very fortunate that they delivered to us today with the snow. Steve took out a window on the middle level
and they started booming the sheetrock into the house. Watch the videos. It is totally awesome watching the boom move the sheetrock.
The sheets were brought in through the windows on the middle and upper floors.
Then they carried the sheets through the front door for the lower level.
The boom truck is very tall. Steve uses a long piece of wood to lift the electrical wires for the truck to leave.
Very snowy this afternoon and guess what they do plow. The town came through in the afternoon. It was exciting to see a plow. Everyone had told us no one plowed.
Steve was so excited to have the drywall. He immediately started putting it up in the upper-level master bedroom. It is totally amazing that he can put up 16-foot sheets by himself. The ease that he does it and cuts out the windows is awesome.
I have said it before, but I will say it again. Steve can do anything. Look how he quick he gets a 16-foot sheet up.
This was such an eventful day that I blew up this post with pictures and videos. Hope you enjoyed them. One last thought. It never snows here in KY. There is so little snow, you can’t even build a snowman. Haha. We have 4 inches now at 5pm and it is still snowing. The Tremper’s brought the snow in.
