Day 244 – “Living the Dream”. Thursday, 12/30/2021. I woke up in the middle of the night thinking, omg I am afraid to go. Steve says, “Stop looking at the news”. Royal Caribbean blog says “Royal Caribbean has carried 1.1 million guests since 6/2021 and 1,745 have tested positive with no severe cases or hospitalizations. So, we are proceeding on with our travels. Today is the final prep day.
We are leaving 7am tomorrow New Year’s Eve. Our first covid testing is scheduled at 8:30 am an hour away. Got my hair done
and did laundry in the morning. Got back home at noon time and decided to cancel all the cruises
except for the last one which is an MSC to Aruba, Columbia, Panama, Jamaica, Bahamas, and Costa Rica. We will need that deep south warmth by mid-February and hopefully this Omicron wave will pass. Spent the afternoon canceling all hotels, covid tests, and cruises. Then measured and ordered insulation and sheetrock.
Picking up Insulation tomorrow and sheetrock will be boomed in on Thursday. We have decided to insulate and sheetrock all rooms now except the utility room on the lower level and the main level bedroom. Therefore, we spent the afternoon moving all the furniture and kitchen cabinets from the first floor living area to the bedroom of the first floor.
Tomorrow we will do the same for the lower level. Move all boxes to the utility room. Spaghetti and bottled sauce for dinner. We already had cleaned the refrigerator and threw almost everything away. The birds were so loud in the field across the street. They were waiting for us to leave. Jokes on them we are here another six weeks.
Today’s product recommendation is for the Rev-A-Shelf. I love this for my pots, pans and lids. The one we recently installed is the 21 inches with a spot on the top shelf for the lids.
