Day 233 – “Living the Dream”. Sunday, 12/19/2021. It is a cold Sunday. We woke up to ripped up garbage in the old house, aka our office/supply room.
We weren’t sure what had gotten into it. Was it a rat, a cat, or something else. In the bathroom there is a hole that any animal can get in. It was a normal laundry and store day. We put candles in all the windows of the Williamsburg. Looks great at night.
Then we spent some afternoon time relaxing by the Christmas tree under electric throws. Loving the song “Baby it is cold outside”.
Steve was going to board up the hole in the bathroom wall but didn’t get to it. Thank goodness he didn’t do it. After dark, we found a skunk on the old house’s back porch looking for something to eat. We scared him and guess where it went? Yup into the house through the hole in the bathroom wall. Aha, that is what tore through our garbage. If we had boarded that hole up during the day, we would have been trapped him in the house. Tomorrow we are setting up a trap for him. After we trap him, Steve will board up the hole and we will let him go. Hopefully with no spraying occurring.
