Day 211 – “Living the Dream”. Saturday, 11/27/2021. Truck is packed and we met moving company at the storage unit. Well, we ended up telling them forget it. The price quoted over the phone was $2,100. In person they said it would be double that. Wow, there were only a few more boxes than we had told them. They also said they could not take the plastic containers but would have to repack them in cardboard moving boxes. I had told the moving company representative that we had plastic containers. She never mentioned they would not move them. So, we told them forget it.
What a bummer, we paid another month of the storage unit of $165.00 and headed home with just the truck full. Ate lots of cookies,
drove to Clarksburg, WV, and spent the night. It was a much longer ride than we anticipated. We had to stop a lot to fix the clamps that were holding the tarps. Apparently, we just missed the snow in the northeast. At least something went right we avoided any snow. We are going to buy a cargo trailer and head back up at some point and empty the storage unit out. First, we want the electrical rough in inspection, the insulation, and sheetrock completed.
