Living the Dream – Year 2, Day 152

“Living the Dream” – Day 9 of our 1/2 world trip aka Year 2, Day 152, Monday, September 26, 2022. We pulled back into the Seattle cruise port this morning. We are racking up the miles traveled in 9 days. So far we have traveled 4,347 miles. That is broken down to 76 miles from our home to Blue Grass Airport, 323 miles from Lexington, KY to Chicago, IL,
1,721 miles from Chicago, IL to Seattle, WA, 22 miles from Seattle Airport to hotel in Renton, WA and on to cruise port, and 2,205 miles on the Alaska cruise. There is no facial recognition in the cruise port. We had to show our passports. It was a quick departure to the ride share app pick up location. Used the uber app and a car was there for us in one minute. Uber to Seattle Airport to pick up car rental is $61.00. This is the third Seattle uber driver from Etiopia we have had. This driver was quieter. There was a language barrier between us. The air in Seattle is so nice and crisp. There is a lot of road and building construction all along the water front. Seattle is not as clean as Victoria was. More roadside litter here in the US. We got to the airport and of course had to take a shuttle to pick up the rental car ugg. A Malibu from Oregon. Then back to the airport for our global interview. We went to a Walmart in Renton and wow I have never seen jeans locked up before. Really weird. Tonight we are in Renton getting ready for our road trip to Mount Ranier tomorrow.

Today’s product recommendations are traveling essentials.                                                    1) Luggage hand cart – we love this cart for easy rolling for easy cruise carry-on bags.  Even when you can’t go to your room right away this is so easy to walk around the ship with.  Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3s37EOw

2) This large toiletry bag is the best.  Steve has the black and I have the pink.  We both absolutely love them.  Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3v1p6ok and picture
