Living the Dream Day 186

Day 186 – “Living the Dream”. It was in the 40’s and cloudy all day today.

I am not a happy camper. It brings back memories of tent camping in New York State on the Delaware River and it snowed. We went bowling to get out of the cold. Thi sis not fun and there will be no bowling here. We are WORKING. It was a good day to make and eat homemade chicken noodle soup. It definitely warms a body up.

The back deck is almost complete. It may not get stained until the spring. In order to stain it has to be 55 degrees for 24 hours.

The water heater is connected. Steve just has to set up the system for pressure testing and run the pipes to the septic.

The lower level is getting completed quickly now. Justin is finishing up the framing.

All day I planned on taking my shower at 4pm when it was going to be the warmest at 49 degrees. I did the dishes at 3:30pm and was headed to the shower when the gutter installers came back. Ugg, there went the shower. They were headed up on the house. These guys are not used to such high houses. Steve and Justin helped them with setting up the ladders. They did not have ladders long enough for the job and had to use ours. Actually, Steve went up on the roof to do some nailing because they could not do it.

They finally left at 7pm. It was 41 degrees and getting dark quickly. Okay I had to take a shower; my hair was gross. So, I get in the shower, it is dark, and the coyotes are going crazy. It was super scary.

Got out of the shower and ran for the Cabin. The cabin is nice and cozy warm tonight.

Hmm. Planet fitness showering is sounding better and better.
