Day 183 – “Living the Dream”. Saturday, 10/30/2021. Rain, rain, and more rain. The mud and standing water at the side of the new house is incredible.
This rain is a good test for the new French drains. The drains are working perfectly.
The basement is totally dry Steve does good work.
The water is running off the roof and making a water filled rut on the side of the house.
The seamless gutter contractor is coming on Monday. Gutters should take care of that standing water. It is so cold here with this rain. Living outside like we do, you really get to experience all the weather elements. From sweating hot to freezing, we are experiencing it all. It is going to get colder still. Last night a pack of coyotes were barking up a storm in the corn field. They never came in our yard though. I am staying in the cabin at night. When the time changes, we will be sitting on our bed really early. Even tonight we showered in the dark. The leaves are changing, and the trees are looking beautiful here. I didn’t think you got such a colorful fall as I am seeing in KY.
First floor walls are mostly framed, and most plumbing is done now. Multiple shut off valves are now installed.
Love that we can walk up all the stairs in the house to all the floors.
