Living the Dream Day 79

A few times every night, we have to move the air bed away from the wall and hit the switch to reinflate it. We have solved that problem. This remote-control electrical outlet works great. We can just hit the remote and the air bed start inflating.

We are using it to control the airbed, for turning the air conditioner on and off at night, and for remote operation of the lights in the old house. What a great find this was for us. Here’s a link to the one we purchased through Amazon.

Misc

The doghouse dormers are looking great. They are huge and are taking a lot of detailed framing. I think they are going to be so worth it for the look, the light, and the extra space.

The shed dormer side is also going up quickly due to the hoist. It is so easy to bring up heavy pieces of lumber with the hoist. Upstairs will be two bedrooms ad a full bath.

Here is an Amazon link to a hoist like we bought. We bought ours from Harbor Freight. It is amazing. You can do so much with it.

We are loving this mimosa tree. It is really in full bloom now. It makes the yard look so pretty and brings in lots of butterflies and hummingbirds.

Next year, I am planting these seeds from Amazon along the left side of the property. A nice border of these trees will be wonderful. Here’s the Amazon link:

Even the potted flowers are loving this Kentucky sun and heat.

The grass is also growing extremely fast, and the green bucking bronco is getting a lot of use. It seems as though Steve is always mowing. He bought that for me, but he is actually doing the mowing.

There is a constant stream of hummingbirds all day long at the feeder.

I love sitting and watching the Hummingbirds.. Actually, am I watching them or are those little helicopters watching me.

Our outside shower with the propane hot water heater is working out fantastic. We are loving our showers. The only downfall is you have to keep an eye open for bugs/spiders while showering. There is also the possibility that someone is standing on the old house and looking in. When not in use we keep the unit covered and protected from the rain.

If you have a need for an outdoor shower by your beach house, garden or pool. This works great. Here’s the link to the one we bought from Amazon.
