We are starting to look at kitchen layouts. Have to figure a design that works with all the windows and doorways we have. It appears the room may be a little narrow to add in an island. We are thinking a peninsula will work better with a sink in it. This design has an island. We like the range hood and the double wall microwave oven in this layout.
We have my family reunion coming up. I am getting excited, we have been planning this Ortega Hershey Park reunion for a year. The t-shirts are in and look great. I love the bright yellow. It will be so easy for everyone to stay together with that color. Can’t lose site of that yellow shirt. It is bright!
It is so hot and sunny that we put a canopy and fan on the first floor deck. The saw was getting so hot that they were burning their hands while operating the mitre saw.
This huge Mimosa tree is really pretty. The leaves look like ferns and the flowers like pink puffballs. It just keeps blooming and attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. This tree is native to the Middle East and Asia. I really like it so far in the yard. We have had to trim it already. It grows very fast. I have read people hate it in the fall. We will see, it is my first experience with one.
At five PM it is 95 in the shade. It is really hot and humid here.
All our cooking is done on a gas grill and an electric one burner hot plate. Starting to get really good at one pot meals.
It is a pleasure to go and rest in the cabin where it is cool. It is small though, the one room is the bathroom and bedroom. Mirrors make it appear a little larger.
