Day 12 – Living the Dream.
Worked more on the cabin today and the farmer worked on discing the field across the road. We were told they will be planting corn. I am a little concerned about being this close when they put down fertilizer and/or pesticide. Is this hazardous to our health?



Received Mickey and Minnie “I am vaccinated” buttons from our daughter, just in time for the cdc mask lift for vaccinated individuals. https://www.cdc.gov/…/fully-vaccinated-guidance.html. Now that mask lifting is big big news.

One of the cool things here is the many freight trains you hear in the distance. They go through about six times a day. Try and hear them in the short video below.
It is a very cold, but clear beautiful day. Nice puffy clouds are floating by in the sky and beautiful wild flowers are everywhere. What a wonderful place to observe with your eyes, and then close your eyes and listen to the sounds of birds, and train whistles in the distance. With this communing with nature, you find peace, quiet your mind, and calm your body and soul.


Plant some seeds in your gardens around your house to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Hang a hummingbird feeder and you will be entertained by some wonderful fast moving birds. Hummingbirds come back every year to the same feeder once they come one time. I can’t wait to hang mine at this new house. Here’s some links to the ones I like and have:
