Day 4 Living the Dream.
Getting closer to breaking ground. The Environmentalist inspector approved the existing septic system to use for the new house. I talked to the Plumbing inspector and we are applying for the plumbing permit tomorrow. The job site port a john is also being delivered tomorrow. Look at the below pictures and you will see the existing kitchen was total gross. The cabinets, stove, and walls were filthy, moldy and buckling out of the house. We need a place to get in out of the elements and cook some lunch. Therefore, we started ripping out the existing kitchen to redesign and make it into a worksite break room. We also did a little shopping and bought a gas grill, small refrigerator, and microwave. Things are moving along.

The house is 17 minutes from Lowes in Somerset, Kentucky which is great for quick runs to get materials and tools. We will probably find a lumber yard to obtain the home construction lumber. On the way to Somerset the view of the mountains in the distance is gorgeous. Directions to anywhere in Somerset are given in traffic light numbers . Traffic lights are numbered in order starting with 1 at the north end of town. I have only been to intersection 25. Lowes and Walmart are at light 13 and our hotel is at light 18.
