This room is a forward balcony room located on the Starboard side of the ship on the 9th deck. We love the 8th or 9th deck forward balcony rooms. This is a nice location and you are close to the stairs and the elevators. Since this was a birthday cruise for my husband’s 60th, I totally failed to take a lot of pictures of the stateroom. Although you will find a video at the end of this post.
Here are a few pictures of the decorations that my daughter and daughter in law put up. The door ones were magnetic and the room ones were put up with little round magnets ordered from Amazon. When hanging the ceiling decorations, they put little pieces of paper between the ceiling and the magnet. The first one hung without the paper left a mark on the ceiling. Putting paper between the magnet and the ceiling solved that.

From this location it seems as though we used the elevators more than the stairs. I did walk to deck 5 for coffee in the mornings. The coffee station is in the café promenade and is towards the aft of the ship on deck 5. Pools areas are on deck 15 which is a bit of a walk so using the elevator seemed a better option. You are on the opposite end of the ship from the dining rooms (decks 3, 4, and 5), buffet area (deck 16), and the Diamond lounge (deck 11). This ship is huge so there is a lot of walking no matter where you go, but I love that. I hate to gain too much weight and the walking is good for you.

Our stateroom attendant was efficient and good. Room was cleaned early everyday and refreshed in the evening while we were at dinner. Very good service. The first day we gave the room attendant some items to press. They were completed and hung in our room looking wonderful the next day. The cost was 24.99 to press a three piece tuxedo, and 3 shirts, and wash and press an additional shirt.
The room, balcony, shower, bathroom, and storage areas are a nice size. The bed is comfortable, and room was bright and cheerful. The bed is close to the closet which I absolutely hate as it is horrible for two people to get into the closet. I like rooms where the bed is close to the sliding glass door. Those rooms have easier access to the closet.
Not much else to say, but here is the video. I would try not to stay in this room again due to the bed being near the closet.
