Living the Dream Year 5 Day 152 – The Wellington – Carpeted pine balcony/attic stair treads

Year 5, Day 152 “Living the Dream”. Monday, 9/29/2025 – The Wellington. Today we tackled those pine balcony/attic stairs. The project started out great in the morning with the treads being painted black. We never use painters tape. However, for this project, we decided we really needed to in order to get that crisp straight line. Three treads later and we are heading to Lowes for carpet.

I had looked at so many stair designs online. I decided on the black treads. They didn’t look as nice as we thought they were going to. Not sure if I would do the carpet again though either. But they look good and are finished. If we do a pine staircase again. I would paint it all white and do a stair runner carpet down them.

Decorating continues. We are creating a large black and white picture of the Williamsburg. We are also hanging one of the Wellington on the wall of the Living area.

Things to ponder today! Have to leave you thinking.
